In order for your child to attend and/or be placed on a waiting list for the sites that are already full, the Parent Orientation is mandatory. The next Parent Orientation is:
September 6- Parent Orientation, 9:00 AM or 6:00 PM at the Standard Elementary Cafeteria (corner of N. Chester and Minner)
IMPORTANT X-FACTOR DATES & NEWS
We are looking forward to the start of the new school year. X-Factor starts the first day of school, immediately after the students are released from their regular day class. Teachers will have the lists of students who are enrolled in the program and can direct them appropriately on the first day dismissal. Make sure you know the pick-up procedures for your site. You may call the site supervisors for more information.
This is the beginning of the 6th year of X-Factor. We work closely with district personnel and the Boys & Girls Club, as well as the California Department of Education (CDE), to provide the best after school education possible. In order to have a better understanding of what the after-school grant programs are about, the CDE has changed the name of their department from After School Division to Extended Learning Division. This is an exciting change because it indicates the direction that we want our X-Factor program to continue to move. We are all about extending the learning opportunities of our students each and every day!
